The colors of the Conservative party is blue. Stephen Harper has been a long-time follower of major curling events. He has attended the Brier and – a number of times prior to taking office – planned business and leisure travel around ensuring he could take in the national championship. The platform provides Canadians with a prudent low-tax plan to protect and create jobs by completing our recovery from the global economic recession.

This focuses :

  • Creating jobs through training, trade and low taxes.
  • Supporting families through our Family Tax Cut and more support for seniors and caregivers.
  • Eliminating the deficit by 2014-2015 by controlling spending and cutting waste.
  • Making our streets safe through new laws to protect children and the elderly.
  • Standing on guard for Canada by investing in the development of Canada’s North, cracking down on human smuggling and strengthening the Canadian Armed Forces.

Elizabeth May has a long record as a committed and dedicated advocate -- for social justice, for the environment, for human rights, and for economic pragmatic solutions. She is an environmentalist, writer, activist and lawyer who has been active in the environmental movement since 1970. In 1986, Elizabeth became Senior Policy Advisor to then federal Environment Minister, Tom McMillan. She was instrumental in the creation of several national parks, including South Moresby. She was involved in negotiating the Montreal Protocol to protect the ozone layer, new legislation and pollution control measures. Elizabeth May is the leader of the green party.y

He has received numerous honorary degrees and awards from Canadian and foreign universities, colleges, and organizations. Bob Rae was appointed to Her Majesty’s Privy Council for Canada in 1998, was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2000, and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Ontario in 2004. Bob Rea is now the leader of the liberal’s party (Canada)

Tom Mulcair is the leader of the NDP party was elected leader of the Official Opposition and Leader of Canada's. He was born in Ottawa. Tom Mulcair worked is a lawyer by trade and worked at the Legislative Affairs branch of the Justice Ministry for some time. He won by 57.2 % of the vote on March 24th, 2012At the end of 1987, Tom was named President of the Quebec Professions Board (Office des professions du Québec), a position he held until 1993. Jack Layton and Tom Mulcair worked tirelessly and helped to create a spectacular breakthrough in Quebec on May 2, 2011 - making Canada's New Democrats the Official Opposition for the first time in history.
